Whiskey brand Maker’s Mark recently developed its new ‘Star Hill Farm’ whiskey, created with a focus on sustainable agriculture and regenerative farming. We were tasked by creative agency Backlash to produce and install two displays for the launch at Selfridges London: a high-profile window display to attract attention from the street, and an in-store display to introduce shoppers to the new whiskey and drive sales within the Selfridges Wine Shop.

Star Hill Farm is Maker’s Mark’s first American wheat whiskey, made without corn to highlight the flavour of soft red winter wheat grown on their own farm. Bottled uncut at cask strength and produced from two mash bills, the whiskey has a naturally sweet, complex profile - making real wheat the perfect visual focal point for the displays.

Working to the ‘Nature as the Maker’ concept, we produced both installations using real wheat, FSC-certified wood and recycled materials. A printed blue-sky fabric backdrop and focused lighting ensured the window display stood out day and night, helping to attract shoppers’ attention.

Inside the Wine Shop, we installed a clean, impactful product display with red branded display units and more real wheat to connect back to the window concept. The result was a cohesive, nature-driven retail moment that introduced Star Hill Farm to Selfridges customers while showcasing our expertise in retail production, window displays and visual merchandising.
