Under new management, Staines Farm Shop aimed to establish a more rustic, eco-friendly vibe that aligns with their dedication to natural products and sustainability—and we set out to create a piece that would be as functional as it was visually striking.

Crafting Character with Reclaimed Wood for this Bespoke Cash Desk in Whitstable

For this project, we chose reclaimed floorboards to construct the main structure of the till point, capturing both the shop’s earthy atmosphere and a commitment to sustainable materials. Each floorboard brings its own history and character, giving the bespoke cash desk in Whitstable a unique texture that can only be achieved with reclaimed wood. The desk is topped with a solid slab of Elm, whose rich grain and warm tones provide a beautiful, natural finish. This choice of materials not only adds rustic charm but also helps minimise environmental impact by breathing new life into repurposed wood.
